Travelers' diarrhea

Klaus Weimer (35), GermanyFamily man Klaus Weimer had been planning a safari vacation in Kenya with his wife since they first met. Now that they have two small children, they were concerned about the risks of traveler's diarrhea, a condition that affects millions of holiday-makers around the world each year. Through a doctor friend, he heard about the probiotic Perenterol (Saccharomyces boulardii from Biocodex). His friend advised Klaus and his family to start taking the drug about a week before the trip and to continue during the vacation to eliminate the risk of traveler's diarrhea.

Dr. Julia Steiner, Munich, GermanyDr. Julia Steiner explains the risks of traveler´s diarrhea in patients planning trips to Asia, Africa and Latin America, where changes in diet and contaminated water cause diarrhea in up to 50% of visitors. She explains how the probiotic Saccharomyces boulardii from Biocodex can be used as a preventative measure, to avoid the risks of diarrhea and ensure peace of mind for adventure-seekers.
